The Macedonia SDA Church Singles Ministry Known as GOAL (God Our Awesome Leader)
Macedonia SDA Church Singles Ministry (also known as G.O.A.L. - God Our Awesome Leader) is not a dating service or a "hook-up" type ministry that specializes in matchmaking, rather, our goal is to provide a non-threatening environment for the single Christian to grow in Christ. GOAL is committed to improving the atmosphere for the single Christians of the Chester, Pennsylvania Area and beyond.
Our Mission Statement
Reaching and empowering Single Adults to create Christ-centered safe places for fellowship nurture and service.
Since the time when Adam realized he was without a mate, thereby experiencing loneliness, many persons have found themselves in a similar state. A careful examination of Scripture reveals a deep concern for the "widows and fatherless," individuals who, in their singleness, might be struggling. Not all singles in our society today are struggling-any more than married people struggle-but all these people have special family needs.
Paul visualized the church as an oasis where all gifts were valuable, a home where all could find fellowship and support. All who belong to Christ, are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29) The fellowship of believers in Christ transcends sexual, racial, economic, marital, or social distinctions.
GOAL provides small group Bible study at church and at member’s homes. We have a monthly singles fellowship where Bible study is not the only item on the agenda.
GOAL aims to help singles in the church become part of the worship service and contribute to a spirit of commitment among members of the church.
GOAL helps the church plan events and build pathways that help to attract new members, especially single members and nurture their growing faith. GOAL will plan events during the year such as, divorce recovery seminars, single parent workshops and other events identified by the members.
Goal helps the congregation and its leaders develop non-judgmental, open and accepting attitudes of single members. GOAL helps the church focus on how to minister to singles in the different situations in which they are found.
Here is a group picture of the latest GOAL activity. GOAL along with some non-member supporters participated in the MS Walk on Sunday, May 15, 2005 at Lums Pond in Delaware. GOAL raised $100.00 to help support the MS Society of Delaware and to help find a cure.

July 9th is Singles' Day at Macedonia.The special guest speaker is our own Elder Dione Jones, leader of our singles's ministry.
